It doesn't get any better than this!  A perfect centered profile of an emperor of the House of Constantine, dating 3rd to 4th century AD.  This ancient bronze coin is set in a beautiful octagon shape 14KY gold pendant and features perfect detail with gorgeous red and brown patina.  Rarely will you see a Roman coin that is this perfect in every way.  Highly recommended!!!

MASTERPIECE COLLECTION   There comes a time when I just step back from a piece I make and am besides myself in its admiration.  I tried to take so many photos of this piece but and it still looks so much more awesome in real life than in these pictures!  The setting is predominantly 14 karat yellow gold with a sterling beaded edge around each link.  The coins are all Roman bronzes from the House of Constantine.  With the ranges of patinas on the coins, the coloration spectrum is absolutely gorgeous!  Some show a profile of an emperor mixed with various coins showing various reverse scenes of Roman soldiers.  Each hand-fabricated link was specially designed with a very heavy joint for generations of wear unlike most designs that wear out or break after a few years.

A classic and incredibly choice example of a typical Roman reverse scene in this Constantine bronze coin.  Crisp detail and well-centered.  A Roman soldier is shown spearing a fallen horseman with the inscription, "FEL TEMP REPARATIO" (Good Times Restored).  Dating from the 3rd to 4th century AD and wonderfully set in all 14KY gold.

With its striking yellow and green patina, this Roman bronze coin from 394 - 423 AD features the emperor Honorious holding a globe with the inscription, "Gloria Romanorum" meaning "Glory of the Romans".  The setting is 24 mm in overall diameter and is handcrafted from 14KY gold and sterling silver.  A beautiful piece with a wonderful spectrum of colors.

A fine example of a Roman bronze coin from the House of Constantine, Rome's first Christian Roman emperor.  Dating from the 3rd to 4th century AD, this wonderful example shows a light green patina as a background for a chocolate brown profile and inscription.  Set in a cast 14KY gold pendant 3/4" in overall diameter, this fine piece of antiquity is well centered and features an equally well-centered reverse of two soldiers holding a standard.  Very classy!

Here's a perfect example of how, like gemstones, ancient coins with their varying patinas can truly be gems in their own right!  A highly sought-after patina is rarer than the coins themselves and this is no exception.  This Roman bronze coin from the House of Constantine (3rd - 4th century A. D.) bears the emperors profile with an absolutely gorgeous orange and green patina.  The pendant setting in 14 KY gold with silver accents makes it a work of art!  17 mm total diameter.

cr1.jpg (42326 bytes)

A beautiful perfectly centered (rare!) profile and reverse on this bronze Roman coin.  The setting in 14 KY gold accented with a fine edge in sterling really sets off the coin's heavy patina of dark green over black-brown.  Commemorating a descendant of the House of Constantine and dating from 300 - 400 A. D., the reverse shows a  Roman soldier spearing a fallen horseman.  A classic!  Total diameter just over 3/4".

MASTERPIECE COLLECTION   This ancient Roman Antoninianus bronze coin is from the turbulent history of the Empire during the mid 250's AD.  These coins, identified by all the emperors portrayed wearing a radiant crown, are an important milestone in  the history of economic policy because they represent the first debasement of a currency, when all the silver coins were going to silver-washed copper.  A stunning piece set in a heavy hand-wrought sterling pendant on leather.  Signed by the artist.

cp9.JPG (15914 bytes)

Set in 14KY gold, this Roman bronze coin from the rule of Constantine (3rd-4th century AD) displays the angel of victory on the reverse, as shown.  A nice copper red patina with a dark background contrasts wonderfully with the 14KY gold pendant setting.  Slightly over 1/2" in diameter and well-centered, Victory was an important mascot for the powerful Roman army that ruled most of ancient civilization at that time.

cp30.jpg (26515 bytes)

This Roman bronze Constantine issue coin from the 3rd - 4th century is simply set in 14KY gold as a compliment to it's nice color and patina.  Rustic and easily worn by either sexes, the entire piece is 20 mm in overall diameter.  Affordably priced and of a wonderfully centered strike.

cp20.jpg (28407 bytes)

Gorgeous and fascinating!!!  Superb detail on the reverse of this ancient Roman bronze coin from the rule of the House of Constantine (3rd - 4th century A. D.) shows three Roman soldiers standing together.  The inscription is partially visible on the left and reads, "Gloria Exercitus", meaning "the Glory of the Military".  Rome's claim to fame was the intimidating might and power of it's professional and highly-skilled military.  Displayed in 14 KY gold with sterling decoration, this is one handsome piece!  Highly recommended for the ancient history buff.  Total diameter is 17 mm.
