BYZANTINE PURE GOLD CROSS COIN PENDANT IN 14K YELLOW GOLD

This is one of our most profound pendants with deep symbolism incorporated not only in the choice of the genuine ancient pure gold coin used but in the design of the mounting, as well.  The coin is an authentic pure gold Byzantine tremissis struck in the beginning of the seventh century A.D. under the rule of the emperor Maurice Tiberius.  The first word in the Greek inscription  "VICTORY" abbreviated, followed by the emperor's name.  The "Victory" the legend refers to is Christ's victory over death as well as the same implied victory all believers possess.  We have mounted it with its bold reverse image shown, a bare cross of ancient Byzantine style.  What is most symbolic is the design of the high polished 14K yellow gold pendant encasing the coin.  The design is of three connected concentric rings representing the Holy Trinity. 

Byzantine culture was steeped in Christian symbolism and we have kept in that same ancient tradition spanning over one thousand years with the artistic design of this stunning pendant.  The lighter 14K gold wonderfully compliments the deeper, rich 24K gold of the coin. 

As a modern representative of one's Christian beliefs, wearing a pendant featuring one of these genuine ancient coins is a far more unique display of one's faith compared to a modern made, mass-produced cross on a chain.
