This is definitely why patinas can truly make an ancient coin a masterpiece.  This beautiful gem of an ancient folles coin is much smoother than appears in the image.  This beautiful coin was minted during the reign of Constans II and displays an incredible orange and green patina.  The colors appear as if they make up a bizarre magical fog that the emperor emerges from holding a staff and cross!  Set in a high-polished 14K yellow gold setting further enhances the gem of antiquity.  Overall diameter is 20mm.
