Mysterious! is the perfect description of this Byzantine bronze folles from the 7th century AD.  This beautiful coin was minted during the reign of Constans II and displays an incredible patina!  The scene displayed is of the emperor holding a cross but the patina makes him look like a ghost emerging from an evening fog.  Set in a handmade 14KY gold setting further enhances the beauty and mystery of such a wonderful piece.  Overall diameter is 23mm.
